Another from my life as a blue collar worker. This time I'm focusing on the tools and the small things that make what we do possible. As there are many thousands of tools in the trade, its hard to narrow it down to my usual 3 submissions, so this will be a good 6-9 part series.
Last one for this first set is of a simple tool that even your average everyday white collar business man probably has laid his hand on once or twice, a wrench.
You know, I have seen tools in my life (my husband has lots and fixes everything at home), but a wrench never caught my eye before !!! You actually changed that in a second with this gorgeous shot!
I guess the cared for aspect of the composition (the cloth is perfectly clean, the wrench is shiny) reflects love and pride for what you do. And I am sure you love your work (I have read nothing about you yet, just something about blue collar and I don't know what it is, so these are my unpoluted perceptions!).
The combination of shines and sparkling effects (on the fabric, on the tool and on the working table) as well as the different textures are fascinating. I found harmony in the table matching a small section of the tool, some kind of beautiful balance. And the colors match so well that I can hardly believe what you achieved here. Even the angle of the tool is interesting, allowing to read USA on it while the lower side of it blurrs until it dissapears on the lower frame of the photo.
Very original to me, haven't seen anything like this on DA so far. And what's more, it makes me want to check more of your gallery and read more about you and your work. Already wondering what blue collar is !!
I hope you get more critiques on this work. My knowledge of photography is basic, so no tips to give, you are better than me !
Deep congratulations for making beauty out of daily objects !

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
